Once built, the 105 million gallon-per-year denatured ethanol facility will annually refine an estimated 38 million bushels of feedstock-grade corn into a clean burning, renewable fuel. The ethanol produced will displace approximately 2.6 million barrels of imported oil a year.

Natural Gas Facility

The plant will be fueled with natural gas and is to be located on a 293-acre site within the city limits of Yuma, CO. Construction will take approximately 18 months.

Unique Site Attributes

  • Yuma County enjoys the third highest corn yield in the US (194 bushels per acre in 2005) and locally produces over 40 million bushels on an annual basis.
  • 600,000 head of cattle on feed within 75 miles of Yuma facility.
  • Close proximity to such a large amount of local corn and cattle, along with access to low-cost Rocky Mountain natural gas, provides the project with many cost and market advantages.
