    Tom Bright

    Director, Grain Management

Mr. Bright is the director of grain management at Panda Ethanol.  In this role, he is responsible for the procurement, logistics and profitable management of grain supply, storage and freight for ethanol projects.  He is also responsible for coordinating other commodities such as denaturant and natural gas as they relate to ethanol and distillers' grains products.  Mr. Bright works closely with grain industry suppliers, grain analysts, the commodity futures industry and railroad transportation to ensure that activities associated with grain and grain transportation minimize exposure while maximizing asset margins.

Mr. Bright has more than 20 years of experience in the grain industry.  Prior to joining Panda Ethanol in February 2008, Mr. Bright spent four years as senior merchandiser at W.B. Johnston Grain Company where he was responsible for all trading and risk management of feed grains in addition to trading and managing the BNSF shuttle freight position.  Mr. Bright also spent 17 years at Bartlett and Company where he traded truck grain to terminal elevators, flour mills, poultry feed mills and cattle feed yards in Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.  As product line manager, he also managed the company feed grains position for all company assets and managed a trading team that covered all of the western corn belt including truck, rail and barge trading.  In this position, he also traded the yellow corn rail and barge positions which included export destinations through the center gulf, the Texas gulf and directly into Mexico.

Mr. Bright is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics.
